The Subclass 190 visa is a points-based permanent visa that allows skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian State or Territory to live and work in Australia permanently.
If you want to apply for this visa, you must first obtain a positive skills assessment for your nominated occupation and then submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). If your EOI is successful and you are nominated by a State or Territory, you will be invited to apply for the Subclass 190 visa.

190 Visa – Application Process

Each Australian State and Territory has its own list of in-demand occupations that are eligible for nomination under the 190 visa. Different states may have different requirements such as work experience, occupation demand, or English level.
After selecting one or more States or Territories, you must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect with your occupation, skills, and qualifications. SkillSelect will calculate your points score, and if it is competitive, your profile may be reviewed by State or Territory authorities for nomination.
If you are nominated, you will receive an invitation to apply for the visa and must submit your application within 60 days.
You can lodge your EOI from inside or outside Australia. You can also apply for the visa from either location. If applying from within Australia, you must hold a valid visa or bridging visa. A bridging visa may allow you to stay while your application is being processed.

190 Visa – Points Test
